“The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way.” - William Blake

An amateur photographer’s compelling life’s work. The photo Center NW is proud to present an exhibition of photographs by Vivan Maier (1926-2009) from the Jeffrey Goldstein collection. The exhibition of posthumous silver gelatin prints put Maier’s work in the context of her life during her highly creative period from the 1950′s through the 1970′s. This is the first time Maier’s (Chicago housekeeper-turned-photographer) impressive body of work and unique story will be shared in Seattle.
