The wide-reaching influence of Nicolai Fechin will be discussed in Nicolai Fechin and China, a lecture by Shengtian Zheng. This lecture will examine the impact of Fechin on Chinese artists and the role of reproductions on artists in China when artists had limited accessibility to original works of art. Shengtian Zheng, an artist and curator based in Vancouver, Canada, is also the co-founder and Managing Editor of Yishu: Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art.
