Two people sustained gunshot wounds to their arms Wednesday night at a hip-hop show featuring Mozzy at Chop Suey on East Madison Street.

Police report 911 calls of shots being fired inside the club started coming in around 9:45 p.m. Nov. 22.

Officers determined two groups got into a fight inside the club and shots were fired, causing most clubgoers to flee.

One victim showed up to an urgent care clinic with a gunshot wound to the arm while police were investigating the scene, followed by another who showed up at Highline Hospital in Burien two hours later. Both injuries are not life-threatening.

Carlos Bernardez shot and killed hip-hop artist Joseph Ryan at Chop Suey in 2009, and was later sentenced to 30 years in prison. The venue had only just recently began hosting rap and hip-hop artists again.

Gang Unit detectives are investigating.
