SIFF has announced the Egyptian’s initial lineup to celebrate the long-awaited grand reopening of the vaunted theatre. During the weekend of October 3rd to October 5th, the Egyptian will play some of the most popular, longest running hits in the theatre’s history, including Amelie, Enter the Dragon, Pan’s Labyrinth, My Neighbor Totoro, Risky Business, and Blood Simple, the Coen brothers’ directorial debut. The full schedule is here.
Admission is $5, unless you bring a receipt from a Capitol Hill business dated between October 1-5, 2014. That sounds manageable.
To add to the good news, the Egyptian will also be returning the beloved tradition of midnight movies with Midnight Adrenaline every Friday and Saturday. A few of the titles include Slither, Tremors, Cabin in the Woods, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (on Halloween, obviously), and a Hedwig and the Angry Inch Sing Along. Full schedule here.
