Christmas might be over, but don’t put away your apron just yet! There’s still New Year’s Eve to plan for, cocktails to shake, sparkly dresses or vests to slip on, and appetizers to plate.
Speaking of which, baked brie is a classic, and for good reason. Once baked, the brie is melty inside of the crispy puff pastry that shatters when pricked with a fork.
If you want to go bigger, pick a pot of jam (like blueberry or raspberry) to go on top or next to the little baked wonder.
This appetizer is delicious with bread and crackers, crisp grapes and apple slices, vegetables – anything and everything – and keeps the holidays happy.
- One large sheet of puff pastry dough
- 1 round brie
- (Optional: Jam)
- 1. Using a non-stick cookie sheet, lay down puff pastry. Place brie in the center (you can add jam here, if you want to bake it in), then fold pastry over, cutting off and discarding excess dough.
- 2. Bake at 350º F for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
