Happy 2013 from the Capitol Hill Times Political Brief. In the new year, the city is hitting the ground running with new programs, initiatives, and chances to interact with local lawmakers.

Thursday, Jan. 10, the Seattle Municipal Tower is hosting the first quarterly meeting of the Northwest Universal Design Council, an organization dedicated to promoting all-ages, all-abilities access in urban design. The NWUDC will focus its January meeting on two topics: The economic benefits of barrier-free design, and what we can expect from the Affordable Care Act in Washington State. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. in room 1610 of the SMT.

Seattle City Council is taking questions from the community for the Seattle Channel program City Inside/Out. You can submit your questions about any topic to  contact@seattlechannel.org or at the Seattle Channel Twitter feed and Facebook page.
