Dear Editor,

My thoughts on school killings and potholes.

Instead of blaming, how about accepting responsibility? It seems to me that politicians and their supporters have chosen greed over the common good. I admit that I voted for the first Eyeman initiative, however, this constant revision of tax laws leading us further from the prosperity in Nixon’s and Eisenhower’s budgets has closed tax funded mental health hospitals, destroyed social services for the truly needy and weakened public education. Locally, there are potholes on the 24th Avenue hill that are gradually wrecking our cars and buses.

The blame game is for people who refuse to take responsibility for their contribution to this local and national disgrace. Do we really want to continue supporting them?
