I fit into the category of people who like to turn vegetables into dessert and act like I’m still eating something healthy. Carrot cake, anyone?
Candied yams and sweet potatoes fit right into the mix. They were never part of my holiday repertoire growing up, but as soon as I had my first taste years later, I felt like I had been the victim of a great injustice. How had they been so accessible for the last dozen years without ever making it into my mouth? To ensure that the same travesty doesn’t happen to you, I’m providing you with the recipe.
