Welcome to the debut of Lit Crawl Seattle – a bar crawl, with literature!

Lit Crawl Seattle 2012 is a co-production of the Litquake Foundation and the City Arts Festival in partnership with APRIL. Lit Crawl Seattle is inspired by the San Francisco literary festival Litquake’s long-running Lit Crawl (and produced with Litquake’s participation).

3. {Quarter Lounge, 909 Madison St: 21 and over} Phase 1, 6-6:45pm – Two fiction writers and a poet walk into one of the finest dives in Seattle.

4. {Fireside Room at Sorrento Hotel, 900 Madison St.} Phase 1, 6-6:45pm – The Four Hoarse Men and Interrupture read at each venue.

8. {Michael C Weidemann LGBT Library at Gay City, 517 E Pike St.} Phase 2, 7-7:45pm – Poets? Performers? AND Queer? What a magical combination!

9. {Babeland, 707 E Pike St: 18 and over} Phase 2, 7-7:45pm – Risky, risqué, or risk-averse — all are welcome at Babeland, as APRIL presents work from Seattle’s Crystal Curry.

10. {St Johns, 719 E Pike St: 21 and over} Phase 2, 7-7:45pm – Experience the power of your words translated into another medium. Poetry+Motion’s dancers will put choreography to your poem.

11. {Elliott Bay Book Company, 1521 10th Ave} Phase 2, 7-7:45pm Award winning actor Carlos Andrés Gómez performs work from Man Up: Cracking the Code of Modern Manhood (Gotham).

12. {Comet Tavern, 922 E Pike St: 21 and over} Phase 3, 8-8:45pm A headlining set from a man without a band to speak of.

13. {Vermillion, 1508 11th Ave: 21 and over} Phase 3, 8-8:45pm Hailing from the NW’s cultural capital, Tin House travels up I-5 with a coterie of Portland literati.

14. {Barca, 1510 11th Ave: 21 and over} Phase 3, 8-8:45pm Seattle7Writers celebrates LitCrawl with seven acclaimed authors.

15. {Bluebird, 1205 E Pike St} Phase 3, 8-8:45pm Sybil James, Anastacia Tolbert, Natasha Marin, and Jessica Mooney join forces.
